Marie’s curiosity seemed to have no bounds! At a time when women were forbade college, she attended an “underground” university to satisfy her hunger for learning. As a result, the brilliant scientist made great steps for women in this early STEM movement, discovering two periodic-table elements, working to advance existing x-ray technology and earning two Nobel prizes in her lifetime.
