June certainly flew by for the Grace & Grit team. After all, time flies when you’re having fun – and hosting The Nominate Her Challenge was ten times more fun than we ever could have expected. Now that all the submissions are in, you might think we’re trying to squeeze in a little relaxation. But it’s not time to slow down quite yet! There are a few more steps for us to take, and we’re going to walk you through the rest of The Nominate Her Challenge journey.

While your big effort – choosing a hero, thinking of your box, creating your video and submitting your entry – is complete, our biggest challenge is still to come: choosing the girl and figure who will become part of our Grace & Grit family! Our team will review each submission and ultimately make the selection for the next box. You’ll be the first to know whose box was selected. We’ll be sharing all of the details on Facebook and Instagram.

Next, the selected girl will join our Grace & Grit team for the box design process. After going through the process of box creation for our other figures like Audrey Hepburn and Marie Curie, we have one piece of advice for our new box design partner: expect it to be fun, and expect things to change! Sometimes an item you think might be the perfect box treasure ends up being too expensive or hard to supply in a large quantity. When this happens, we keep our chins up and head back to the drawing board. Usually, our next idea is even better than the last! The box design process also includes creating the gorgeous illustrations, thinking of activities for girls to engage in and (of course) writing the inspiring story of that month’s figure. (You can learn more about the full process in this blog post!)

After the box is ready, it’s time to introduce it to the world. We can’t wait to see how the new box emanating from The Nominate Her Challenge will inspire and impact women young and old. Keep following Grace & Grit online to catch more sneak peeks of the challenge and its process – and to see if your leading lady was chosen!
